I always found renting hard when we lived in a modern apartment building, a converted mill flat and a 3 bedroomed semi-detached house. The thing is, I really struggled to make them feel like home, that is until we found out whilst living in the 3 bedroomed house that our landlord had no problem with us decorating. “Yay! We’ll have wallpaper at last!“, I thought and then I was hit with a feeling of dread. We’d never wallpapered before, what if it went wrong? What if we really did make a mess of the walls in a house that wasn’t actually ours? Should we get the professionals in? Then I came across Superfresco Easy Paste The Wall Wallpaper and I loved the whole concept of it. There was no pasting table needed and it was just a case of measuring everything up, smearing the wall in paste the wall wallpaper paste, cutting it to size and then popping it on. We’d chosen the Superfresco Easy Bijou Wallpaper in Black and White on the chimney breast in our bedroom at the time. It was easy peasy and I was instantly hooked!
Fast forward two and a half years and now that we own our own home it’s full of the stuff…
We’ve gone for the dramatic but lovely Berries Wallpaper in Black and White for our bedroom which was the thickest wallpaper out of all of the Superfresco Easy wallpapers we’ve tried and it’s textured too making it almost impossible to see the seams from sheet to sheet. To see it in action take a look at this post.
As for the Nottingham Wallpaper in Grey and White featured on the chimney breast in our living room and in the picture above, the quality is fantastic (as with the other two I’ve tried) and it’s got a beautiful metallic sheen running throughout the grey/silver tree which makes it look even more lovely when the sunshine beams onto it. I have to admit that it’s possibly my favourite out of the three I’ve used and is super easy to match up, plus super easy to apply in general of course.
If you’re a wallpaper newbie or simply want less mess and ease of use I’d highly recommend the Superfresco Easy Wallpaper Range and paste the wall wallpapers overall. I’m not going to lie, I definitely stick to browsing the paste the wall categories when searching for wallpaper for our house and it helps that it’s easy enough for my fiance – Jordan, to put on the wall in around an hour. Hello house that feels like a home!
