You may not have seen my finished decking area yet (and to be honest it’s not quite how I’d like it just yet either) but I’m giving you a little sneak peek with these photos from our spontaneous BBQ last night. It’s been a particularly hard and long week at work this week so when Jordan suggested having a BBQ and inviting his cousin over too I jumped at the chance to unwind with an alcoholic drink, good company and lots of chatting…
Jordan is definitely my favourite person to photograph, although he’s not the biggest fan of having his photo taken despite the fact that he honestly never takes a bad photo, unlike me who pulls the weirdest faces and spontaneous photos of me never turn out well.
We only had a few hours of daylight left after work so after a quick dash to Tesco to pick up some BBQ essentials, we lit the BBQ and began cooking (and stuffing our faces full of) burgers, sausages, chicken and pepper skewers and steak. Our impromptu BBQ meant we didn’t have your typical side options (salad, pasta, some form of potato etc) but we loved it anyway and the boys especially didn’t complain about our meat overloaded food variety.
The weather perhaps wasn’t the warmest, or at least as warm as I would have hoped, but luckily I had that covered with a blanket and a hoodie, and so we chatted on well into the night and toasted to many more BBQ’s to come!
