If you’re a regular reader over here at The British Feather then you may remember when I revealed my brand new office space a couple of weeks ago in collaboration with Wayfair. I’d wanted my own little office space for the longest time now. I mean, I’d had one before but it was never really ideal and the space itself was never particularly inspiring either. But as the months went on it became something that was more and more important to me and my blog, I needed a proper place to write with a desk and a chair. So when I was invited to take part in the #MixingStyles campaign I’d jumped at the chance to create an office with both industrial and Moroccan influences – styles that I loved, inspired me and felt personal. My own cosy little workspace.
What you might not know however, is when I originally showed you my office I’d temporarily pinched a chair from my dining room because my chair hadn’t arrived yet and was floating around Spain somewhere (I can just imagine this chair being posted to many different locations feeling rather lonely and trying to find a new home). Thankfully all was quickly fixed by the wonderful team at Wayfair and I was soon in the possession of a rather funky Mosco Side Chair. This industrial style chair is just what I was looking for to go in my office, it’s not your traditional choice of chair to use in this space but it’s a great combination between style (obviously!) and comfort (yes really!). Believe it or not I find it much easier to sit for hours in this chair with it’s upright supportive back than the Eames style chair I was borrowing from downstairs, add that to the fact that this chair’s made of high quality steel and so is incredibly hardwearing, and I think I’ve found myself a winner!
The only problem is that I’m now having thoughts about having a selection of these chairs with a big rustic industrial style table in my dining room, but a girl can dream right?
If you’re interested in taking a look at the other items I chose from the Wayfair website and reading about how I pieced together different items to create my #MixingStyles industrial/Moroccan theme you can have a nosy at the article here.
