I’m not sure how or exactly when new designer Anna Hayman popped up on my radar, but I just know that over the last few months I’ve been so intrigued by her vibrant quirky designs. I guess it helps that she makes and sells mugs, and as a self-confessed mug addict, you all know there was no way I wasn’t going to add one to my online shopping basket (yep, it’s another mug post!)…
Created in April 2015, Anna Hayman Designs is a relatively new brand but I’ve already fallen in love with the flamboyant 1930’s art deco/floral inspired designs Anna has already shown us. Bright oranges, blues, reds, yellows and greens adorn her pieces and despite the fact there’s only a select collection of mugs, tea pots, towels and notepads available on the website so far, if Anna’s instagram is anything to go by then we’re all in for a treat sometime in the future. I’ve already got my beady eyes on these mugs (obviously!) and this cushion.
As for the mug I purchased, I’d been on the hunt for an alphabet mug for a while but found the majority to be bland and boring, so as soon as I saw this ‘G’ mug on the Anna Hayman Designs website there was no competition over which alphabet mug would be coming back to my home. The Anna Hayman Blue Alphabet Mug won hands down. The mug itself is sturdy with a nice large blue handle making it all the more easier to carry, and the blue ‘G’ (as well as the little detailing inside) features Anna’s ‘Buzz’ pattern which is a rather snazzy bold print. I especially love using this mug whilst I’m sitting in my newly created office writing blog posts and think it looks fantastic sitting on my desk next to all of the other colourful items.
