When I come across a home collection I adore, I have to talk about it (much like when I shouted about my love of the Next Nihon range – I’m still obsessed!). The collection in question this time is the John Lewis Croft Collection which is the perfect mix of classic homely pieces. It makes me think of a modern cottage in the Lake District or Scotland somewhere (a.k.a. my idea of home heaven!). Truthfully, I’m in pure awe of the Croft collection and here are a few of my favourite pieces…
I have to start off with my favourite piece from the collection – this Southwold Cylinder Shade. The beautiful charcoal print featuring a sleepy seaside town creates a sense of calm and makes me reminisce of childhood getaways to similar locations within the UK. It’s just lovely. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it many times before but I’m a huge, huuuuuuge fan of candles and love any kind of candle holder – tea light holders, hurricane lanterns… in fact any lanterns! So both the Mosaic Hurricane Lamp and these lanterns in the grey and marshmallow shades have caught my eye. The hurricane lamp in particular is a favourite due to it’s grey multi-tonal effect whereas the other lanterns are classic pieces which will never go out of style and therefore look great with everything. Another lovely piece is this Slate Photo Frame, which is a great way to bring a bit more texture into your room as well as displaying precious photos. I love how homely this Cream Knitted Basket looks to put all your essential bits and bobs in, and we all know I love a good cuppa so it would be a sin for me to not mention a tea related item so these stunning Arundel Marble Coasters are a must mention. They’re so on trend but also scream sophistication and are definitely right up my street.
In terms of cosier items, this Cream Alpaca Check Throw is a slightly pricey addition to any home but completely worth the price tag with it’s timeless tartan print, and the Basket Weave Cushion helps to up the style stakes whilst also ensuring your home feels cosy.
And finally for the walls how about the Catkin Wallpaper in Slate which features a gorgeous pussy willow silhouette? Pair it with a Ron Lawson Tiree Cottage Framed Print to bring a touch of country cottage from the Scottish Highlands to your home.
The John Lewis Croft Collection is pretty much my dream selection of items where my living room is concerned as I always like that room to be the cosiest in our house. I’d love to get my cheeky mitts on it all! What do you think of the Croft collection?
