I received a couple of emails recently about an exciting new opening in Nottingham, an Oliver Bonas store! I’ve not been to the store on Central Avenue in West Bridgeford which opened last Thursday yet, but I’ll give you 3 guesses where I’ll be heading come payday! Oliver Bonas do so many lovely quirky on trend pieces whilst somehow managing to keep them classy, but if I’m honest, the thing I love them for the most is the way they manage to blend different materials together, blending woods and marbles, metals and colours, merging a little bit of this and a little bit of that so effortlessly and always pulling it off. So I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pieces from the OB website and they’re all using a mixture of textures, did you notice already?
This Horizontal Block Striped Cushion is a sure favourite, with it’s grey, teal and beige colouring as well as it’s nod to the geometric trend, it’s a trendy and colourful piece to add to your living room. For me, this would be the perfect addition to my kitchen diner, perched on top of one of the Eames style dining table chairs and would go well with the mix of blues I currently have in the room. The stylish Black Marble Clock proves that a little bit of texture goes along way. This piece combines a marble clock face with gold toned clock hands and screams chic simplicity. All I can say about the Munari Table Lamp is wow! With it’s tall slightly triangular concrete and brass metallic base as well as it’s large lampshade it oozes a strong luxe vibe and I certainly would think it’d hit harder on your pocket than it’s £95 price tag!
Kitchen-wise, the Set Of Four Mixed Metallic Wine Glasses and Marble Condiment Set With Spoons are two items which stand out amongst the rest. I love the beautiful metallic detailing of the wine glasses and the marble against the wood looks fantastic in regards to the condiment set. Both would look amazing in a perfect to sit alongside other items in a stylish kitchen with lovely on trend open shelving.
What do you think of my favourite Oliver Bonas items? Are they right up your street or would you just walk on by?
P.s. For those of you that live in Nottingham and fancy checking out the new OB store, if you spend £25 or more during the ir celebratory weekend of 30th – 31st July then you’ll receive a free Oliver Bonas tote bag!
