Say hello to my new office space! I’ve had a few office areas over the years but they’ve never been quite right, I was never completely in love with them and if I’m honest that meant I went back to my normal ways of writing blog posts at the kitchen table/breakfast bar/in bed. It was never ideal. After a year and a half of living in our little 2 bedroomed semi-detached I was yet to create an office space I’d actually use because I hadn’t decided what I wanted. Then it hit me that perhaps the reason I never really loved my previous office spaces was because I’d pigeon holed them into specific trends, only really allowing items which corresponded with this style or that style.
So when I was asked to work with Wayfair on their #MixingStyles campaign I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to finally create a space I loved. It was a good excuse to mix a couple of different styles together, which is what I soon realised that I’d subconsciously wanted to do all along. I chose to combine my much loved Industrial trend with influences of Morocco, a country that I hold close to my heart since volunteering there in 2012.
I’m so excited to finally have a proper place to blog from and had so much fun creating this little area over the last few weeks. If you’d like to read more about how I put everything together as well as see more pictures of my new office, head on over to Wayfair and you can read the #MixingStyles part II article featuring myself and a few other bloggers #MixingStyles makeovers, here.
Make sure you also have a read of part one – here, to see what other bloggers have created too!
