I adore London, I always insist I’d never want to live there and I’d quickly grow tired of the hustle and bustle but I love to go for a day or two every now and again. So when Jordan suggested we meet up with our old uni friends and head to London for the day I was never going to say no. With many of our friends moving to different cities around the UK when we finished uni and us all having busy working lives, we don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like so a day of exploring, friends, food and laughter on Saturday was rather lovely.
We drove down to Northampton to pick up Mike and Indre on the way to Watford to meet Hiten and Sejal. Then it was just a case of hopping onto the tube to central London and stuffing our faces with hog roasts, duck wraps, pulled pork and rice at Borough Market before walking around London to our hearts content, stopping at Tattershall Castle for a drink on the boat opposite the London Eye and leaving as the sun began to set for a Thai takeaway before taking the long drive back home.
It was a lovely day filled with lovely people, some of my favourite people in fact, and I can’t wait to see them all again soon (let’s not leave it as long next time, ok guys?).
