Our living room is almost ready to show you and I now walk into it and smile which is clearly a good sign! We’ve still got a couple of finishing touches to add – the coffee table needs putting up (yes I picked one after a few of you tweeted me when I posted this blog post, thank you!!), the new wall lights need putting up and then there’s just a few paint touch ups here and there. I’ve posted a few sneaky peeks of new items on my Instagram but I’ve been trying so hard not to give too much away. Plus, if you’re a regular reader of TBF then you’ll already know what our wallpaper looks like as well as our lovely ceiling light. Anyway, today I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite living room pictures that’ve inspired me as well as our living room mood board that I created…
Argos Heart Of House Marcham Lantern Ceiling Light (post here) / Graham & Brown Butterfly Array Cushion / Dunelm 10 Aperture Window Pane Photo Frame / Superfresco Easy Nottingham Wallpaper (post here) / Heartwood Candle Cedarwood, May Chang & Katafray Candle / Dunelm Natural Wooden Bulldog Clip Photo Frame / Harbour Living Mantle Clock
My idea for the room has been to go with a nature inspired (hence the wallpaper, cushions etc) theme with both feminine and masculine influences. I wanted it to be fairly modern but rustic and cosy with a slight industrial feel, brought in my the odd darker accessory dashed around here and there. In an ideal world I’d have a log burning fire and an old wooden sliding barn door entrance to the room, but perhaps that’s something I can dream of for our next house in a few years time!
Keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal (finally!) which if all goes well should appear on the blog within the next week or so.
