Getting The Chop: My New Hair

Getting The Chop: My New Hair

I’d been umming and ahhing about cutting my hair back to how I had it a few years ago for a while now. Granted, then it was a brunette version and whilst I’d love to go back to that entirely, brown hair is a tad too much upkeep for a naturally redheaded girl like me. So I ummed and ahhed some more about just going for the cut, and seeing Anna’s perfectly chic hair almost daily on her blog and in her Youtube videos made me want it more…

So after going to the RUSH Nottingham Salon Launch Night the other week and having a consultation, I mentioned that I was thinking about having it short again and they agreed that it would be a good idea. If you’re following me on Snapchat or Instagram then you may have already seen a sneak peek of my new hair, but if not then… Ta-da! Here it is!

I’ve had it cut shorter with long layers and a blonde balayage by the lovely Rebecca at RUSH Nottingham and I absolutely adore it.

Over the last week I’ve been playing around styling it in loose curls, messy waves having it straight and it seems to look great in all styles. Plus it dries quicker, it’s quicker to style as it’s shorter and it feels so much healthier. On top of that my blonde balayage dye job means that I can choose when I want to have it re-done, as it’s low maintenance and it starts further down the hair meaning there’s no root regrowth and it all looks rather natural.

So as my hairs had a revamp, it’s now time to do the same with my haircare routine so I’ll let you know when I’ve found something that I’m happy with. Until then, I’d love to hear any of your haircare recommendations?
