Concrete Jungle: What I Wore To A Bloggers Brunch

It can be hard deciding what to wear to a blogger meet up, the thing is, it’s a bit of a social networking thing, always part business, part pleasure. So what on earth do you wear? I know lots of bloggers panic about having to look a certain way, but the thing is, I just don’t anymore. Part of the appeal towards bloggers is their individuality, so wearing whatever I fancy on that day and actually being real works in my favour despite however many photos will be taken (and let’s face it, there’ll be a lot of them!).

When I first started blogging I used to care what people thought of me, and I guess that was also partly because I was much younger then and you do care. My style used to change every two seconds and I’d even wear things I didn’t really like to events simply because it was ‘on trend‘. It’s funny how much things change as you get older, how much you grow into your body and begin to accept the parts of yourself you’d disliked for so long, how your mind matures and you don’t really give a damn who likes you or what anyone thinks.

Wearing: River Island Coat, H&M Jumper, H&M Jeans, Vans Slip On Trainers, Low Luv Necklace & Alexander Wang Emile Bag

The not caring what anyone thinks is a prime example with this outfit. My red hair and tanned coat combo is oh so matchy matchy or clashy clashy whichever way you’d like to look at it, but I’m not going to lie – I love it. Gone are the days when I felt like I couldn’t wear this or wear that, heck, you might even see me sporting bright red sometime soon!

Fashion and your own personal style is the perfect way to express yourself, so have fun with it and don’t take life too seriously. After all, life’s too short.

And for all you bloggers out there, whether you’re a newbie or an oldie, wear what you want, do what you want and believe in yourself. Be true to yourself, share your story and be relatable. We all just start as the girl next door.

So imagine, imagine beyond the stars of this concrete jungle.
