I mentioned previously in this post that I was more than ready to embrace Spring. Winter had left me feeling rather deflated with it’s cold dark mornings that made me dread getting up and out of bed for the day ahead. Now I’m not the biggest morning person anyway and I often drag my grumpy self out of bed in a mood that tends to linger for far longer than I’d hoped, but what I do find makes a big difference to my mood is my surroundings. If my bedrooms dull, uninviting and generally a mess, it doesn’t have the same effect as a nice bright and colourful room greeting me as soon as I open my eyes. And what’s the first thing we see when our eyelids open? Our bedding!
So with that in mind I’ve searched the internet for a few of my spring florals favourites to help bring the outside in and brighten up your mood and morning!
1. Pretty in pink is true when it comes to this LaRedoute Idonil Floral Print Duvet Cover. Full to bursting point with a range of objects from nature including leaves and flowers as well as having lovely watercolour shades blended into it, I’ve never been the biggest fan of pink but this one certainly catches my eye and would be ideal to brighten up your bedroom during the Spring months.
2. I absolutely love teal, both our bedroom and our kitchen feature many teal items. I’m not sure what it is but I just seem to be drawn to the colour and this Sapporo Teal Duvet Set from Yorkshire Linens is no exception. In fact, I found that many of the floral duvet covers on the Yorkshire Linens website were rather pretty whilst browsing through their selection of bedding. I love this duvet set in particular though because it’s not your typical pink floral, yes it’s girly but it’s also rather funky with it’s light teal base colour, butterflies scattered throughout and then large blue, purple and pink flowers which I can imagine looking down on as I open my eyes each morning and feeling happy and excited for the beautiful Spring sunshine ahead. Plus it’s reversible too, perfect for if you fancy a change or want to fold down the top (like I always do) to reveal a hint of the pattern underneath!
3. Featuring a stippled flower paint brush effect, this George At Asda Stippled Floral Duvet Set really sparks up my creative side. Perhaps as well as livening up my bedroom with pretty floral bedding, this duvet set would influence me enough to get all artsy and get my paintbrushes back out too. I’d be dancing around my bedroom painting floral murals in no time and certainly not suffering from any winter blues that may have flew my way late last year. I love the colours in this too, the pink really pops against the pale blue, don’t you agree?
With winter well and truly over, will you be embracing a happier, brighter Spring? Do you think refreshing your bedroom with Spring florals would improve your mood? It definitely would for me!
