A Superdrug Haul: Chocolate Shower Gel And Cleansing Oils…

p9080396I love a good beauty haul. So when I went down to take a look at the new Nottingham Superdrug store that opened a few weeks ago, there was no way I was going to come home empty handed. So after spending a good hour and a bit (I know, I know… it just had a to be done) browsing the aisles and picking up, then putting down items numerous times, this is what I eventually came away with…

To me micellar water is the lazy girls option for skincare, but we all tend to be a little bit lazy every now and again don’t we?

Garnier Skin Active Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water: To me micellar water is the lazy girls option for skincare, but we all tend to be a little bit lazy every now and again don’t we? I usually love micellar waters after a long stressful day at work when all I want to do is relax and not have to fuss around with my skincare routine for 20+ minutes. Plus, ones like this with oil in definitely help to take off stubborn mascara.

Freedom Pro Studio Strobe Cream: When I spotted this stand in Superdrug after they’d sent me me a palette from the collection, I was so impressed, the range of products were fantastic, as was the price and from what I happily swatched on my hand many of the products seemed good quality too. So as a self-confessed glow-a-holic it was a given that I had to come away with the strobe cream. Now I’ve yet to use this on my face but rubbed into the back of my hand it provides a very subtle sheen and smells rather lovely too.

Is it too soon to say I love this? It already gets a huge thumbs up from me for how hydrating it is and the fact that it does what it says on the tin (or rather… the tube!).

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream: Is it too soon to say I love this? It already gets a huge thumbs up from me for how hydrating it is and the fact that it does what it says on the tin (or rather… the tube!). Once patted around the delicate eye area it makes me look more awake and whilst the brightening effect isn’t in your face and is really rather subtle, it does a great job at adding much needed moisture and making everything feel a whole lot smoother. For the price too, you really can’t complain.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel: I’ve yet to try an overnight mask, I’m not sure why since they’ve been around for a while and I’ve always liked the idea of them. Nevertheless, this one is on my Sunday pamper list so the jurys out on my thoughts but it claims to improve the skins texture and leave skin looking more radiant so if it does that I’ll be a happy lady.

If smell-a-vision was a real thing then you’d definitely need it for this!

Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream: If smell-a-vision was a real thing then you’d definitely need it for this! It smells absolutely incredible with a rich chocolatey scent that’s incredibly moreish but comforting at the same time. Perhaps instead of getting my chocolate fix by scoffing a bar of Galaxy Caramel I could have a shower with this instead?

Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder in Soft Brown: Another Freedom purchase, I’m fed up of brow powders that come in huge unnecessary packaging and take up so much room in my makeup bag so when I saw this modest sized brow powder set with two different shades I knew I needed to pick it up. I also love that there’s so many different shades to choose from so there really is a set to suit everyone. My thoughts so far? Well I’ve been using it everyday since I got it and I’m really rather impressed. The colour is pigmented, looks natural and is long lasting. So far so good!

Then when I saw it on offer in Superdrug there was no hesitation, in the basket it went.

Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil: I adore cleansing oils, there’s no denying it. So when I saw this Simple one in Tesco whilst doing the weekly food shop it was always my intention to pick it up. Then when I saw it on offer in Superdrug there was no hesitation, in the basket it went. Trying this is on tonight’s to do list but I’m sure it won’t disappoint with it’s 100% natural grape oil, simples!

CoLab Dry Shampoo Rio Tropical Fragrance: Oh hi beautiful smelling mid-week hair! If there’s a tropical version of something then I’ll always make a dive right for it and this was no exception. This collaboration with Ruth Crilly is such a goodie and I’m already sure I’ve found a new favourite dry shampoo. It does the job well, doesn’t leave any white bits in your hair and smells divine. Fab!
